The Minister of Environment and Forestry has issued Regulation of the Minister No. P.15/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/5/2018 on Forestry Areas with Specific Purposes, which allows the government to designate forest areas for specific purposes in the public interest, including for the purposes of research and development, education and training, as well as religious and cultural affairs.

The Minister of Finance has now further addressed matters relating to the funding of facilities and infrastructure for palm-oil plantations through the issuance of Regulation No. 49/PMK.05/2018 on the Utilization of Palm-Oil Plantation Facilities and Infrastructure Funding by the Public Service Agency for Palm-Oil Plantation Fund Management.

Provisions which address the issue of ocean waste dumping have finally been regulated by the Minister of Environmental Affairs and Forestry through the issuance of Regulation No. P.12/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/4/2018 on Requirements and Procedures for Ocean Waste Dumping.

The Minister of Trade recently issued Regulation No. 48 of 2018, which amends Regulation of the Minister No. 82 of 2017 on Provisions for the Utilization of National Maritime Transportation and Insurance for the Imports and Exports of Certain Goods

The Ministry of Trade has issued Regulation No. 13 of 2018 which amends Ministry Regulation No. 97/M-DAG/PER/11/2015 on Import Provisions for Forestry Products for the second time Regulation 97/2015 was amended once previously through the issuance of Ministry Regulation No. 91/2017 on the same matter.

The Ministry of Agriculture recently issued Regulation No. 05/PERMENTAN/KB.410/1/2018 on the Clearance and/or Processing of Plantation Fields without Incineration with the ultimate objective of preventing land and plantation fires, as well as preserving environmental sustainability.

The Ministry of Agriculture has decided to implement the Indonesian National Qualification Framework through the issuance of Regulation No. 49/PERMENTAN/SM.200/12/2017 on the Indonesian National Qualification Framework and Standards for Workers in the Palm-Oil Plantation Sector. The KKNI consists of a set of guidelines for improving the quality of human resources within the palm-oil plantation business sector through education, training and certification activities.

The Ministry of Health recently issued Regulation No. 56 of 2017, which amends Ministry Regulation No. 28 of 2013 on the Affixation of Health Warnings and Information to Tobacco-Product Packaging.

In a bid to improve the effectiveness of Indonesia's forestry-product imports policy, the Ministry of Trade has issued Regulation No. 91 of 2017, which amends Ministry Regulation No. 97/M-DAG/PER/11/2015 on Imports Provisions for Forestry Products.

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry has issued Regulation No. P.64/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/12/2017 on Benchmark Pricing for Forestry Products for the Calculation of Forestry Provisional Fees and Stumpage Compensation.
