Updated BEV Industry Framework Introduced: Vehicle Types Expanded and TKDN Calculations for BEV Adjusted

In 2022, the Minister of Industry (“Minister”) issued Regulation No. 6 of 2022 (“Regulation 6/2022”) on Specifications, the Development Roadmap (“Roadmap”) and Provisions on the Calculation of Domestic Component Level (Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri – “TKDN”) Values for Battery-Powered Electric Vehicles (“BEV”), which, as its title suggests, sets out various general specifications and a roadmap that should be adhered to by BEV industries.
