Minister of Industry Introduces New Provisions on Industrial Standardization

In an effort to improve the overall quality and competitiveness of Indonesia’s domestic industrial base, the Minister of Industry (“Minister”) is attempting to revitalize the standards that apply within the country’s industrial sector through the issuance of Regulation No. 45 of 2022 on Industrial Standardization (“Regulation 45/2022”).[1] At the time of its promulgation, Regulation 45/2022 repealed and replaced the previous regulations which addressed the issue of industrial standardization in Indonesia, specifically:[2]
