Securing Second-Home Visas and Stay Permits: A Technical Guide

Overview

In an effort to attract foreign citizens to Indonesia, including investors, global talent and elderly tourists that wish to engage in business activities in the country, the Director-General of Immigration (“Director-General”) has now introduced a set of guidelines that can be consulted by foreign citizens when attempting to secure second-home visas (“Second-Home Visas”) through the issuance of Circular No. IMI-0740.GR.01.01 of 2022 (“Circular 740/2022”). This new policy is expected to provide various benefits, including attracting foreign tourists to the country, which may ultimately lead to a growth in investment.[1]
