Digital Partnerships Set to Be Restructured: E-Commerce Platforms to Implement Standard Clauses and Reduce Micro-Enterprise Service Fees

The Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (“Minister”) is currently completing work on a new Draft Regulation (“Draft Regulation”) on the Protection and Enhanced Competitiveness of Micro- and Small-Scale Enterprises (Usaha Mikro dan Kecil – “UMK”) Engaged in E-Commerce Through Electronic Systems. This Draft Regulation is set to introduce a new obligation that will apply to Organizers of Trading Through Electronic Systems (Penyelenggara Perdagangan Melalui Sistem Elektronik – “PPMSE”), i.e. the requirement to establish Digital-Based Partnerships (Kemitraan Berbasis Digital – “KBD”) with UMK through written agreements.[1]
