The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (“Minister”) is currently completing work on a new Draft Regulation on the Management and Utilization of Oil-and-Gas Data (“Draft Regulation”). If this Draft Regulation ultimately comes into force, then it will simultaneously repeal and replace the following existing frameworks:[1]
- Regulation of the Minister No. 7 of 2019 on the Management and Utilization of Oil-and-Gas Data, which was amended by Regulation of the Minister No. 1 of 2022 (collectively referred to as “Regulation 7/2019”); and
- Regulation of the Minister No. 29 of 2017 on Licensing for Oil-and-Gas Business Activities, which was amended by Regulation of the Minister No. 52 of 2018 (collectively referred to as “Regulation 29/2017”).
