No ID, No Training: Vocational Training Organizers Required to Secure Vocational Identification Numbers via SIAPkerja

Back in 2014, the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration introduced Regulation No. 8 of 2014 (“Regulation 8/2014”) on Guidelines for the Organization of Competency-Based Training (Pelatihan Berbasis Kompetensi Kerja – “PBK”). As its title suggests, Regulation 8/2014 served as a reference for use by training institutions run by various types of organizers (e.g. government agencies, business entities or individuals) in relation to the organization of PBK.[1] It should be noted that various PBK-related requirements that featured under the framework of Regulation 8/2014 were briefly summarized in the following edition of Indonesian Legal Brief (“ILB”): “Organizing Professional Competency-Based Training”.
