2025 UMP for DKI Jakarta Jumps to Rp. 5.4 Million: Nationwide 6.5% Wage Hike Hits Employers

Following the mandate set under Regulation of the Minister of Manpower  No. 16 of 2024 on the Stipulation of Minimum Wages for 2025 (“Regulation 16/2024”)[1], which applies to regional governments across the country during their official stipulation of applicable provincial minimum wages (Upah Minimum Provinsi – “UMP”) for 2025, which should have been completed by 11 December 2024,[2] the Governor of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (“Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta – “DKI Jakarta”) has now determined the 2025 UMP for DKI Jakarta through the issuance of Decree No. 829 of 2024 (“Decree 829/2024”), which has been in force since 10 December 2024.[3]
