- In a bid to increase oil and gas products in 2024, the Special Unit for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (Satuan Kerja Khusus Pelaksan Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Minya dan Gas - SKK Migas) strengthens cooperation with PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding. Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto stated that the majority of oil and gas blocks in Indonesia have been controlled by Pertamina so that Pertamina's role is very dominant in the Upstream.
- Soetjipto stated that to achieve the target set by SKK Migas and PHE agreed to encourage the programme of the cooperation contractor (KKKS). Soetjipto continued with PHE providing direct guidance related to solutions to existing obstacles as well as innovations and ways of working out of the box related to SKK Migas performance, especially to achieve SKK Migas' target of drilling 932 development wells by 2024.
- President Director of PHE, Chalid Said Salim stated that especially in the aspect of drilling, he will continue to pursue targets from the aspect of quantity and quality as well as related to commercialisation issues and requests for approval related to the Natural Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (PJBG) to SKK Migas and inform the potential and progress of LPG in Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ), Senoro and Jambi Merang.
