Technical Standards Certification Required for All Telecommunications Devices and Equipment by May 2024

Provisions that specifically address the certification of telecommunications equipment and telecommunications devices (collectively referred to as “Telecommunications Devices”) have now been updated through the issuance of Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology (“Minister”)  No. 3 of 2024 (“Regulation 3/2024”). These matters were previously addressed under Regulation of the Minister No. 16 of 2018 on Operational Provisions on the Certification of Telecommunications Devices (“Regulation 16/2018”), which will be simultaneously repealed and replaced when Regulation 3/2024 comes into force on 23 May 2024.
