1. Decree of the President No. 8 of 2024 on Holidays

Enforcement Date: 29 January 2024

Summary:

• A total of 16 Holidays have been set for this year, as has been listed under the following Daily Updates: “Govt. Consolidates 16 National Holidays Under One Single Framework”
• It should also be noted that in the event that civil servants are required to be on duty during any of the above-listed Holidays, Decree 8/2024 states that provisions on working during Holidays will apply. Moreover, the Holidays of Islamic New Year, Eid Al-Adha and Eid Al-Fitr will ultimately be determined by the Minister of Religious Affairs at a later date.
