Govt. Introduces Technical Guidelines for PPKSP: Established TPPK at Education Units to Implement Three Forms of Violence Prevention Measures

In August 2023, the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (“Minister”) introduced a new legal framework on the Prevention and Mitigation of Violence at Education Units (Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan di Lingkungan Satuan Pendidikan – “PPKSP”) through the issuance of Regulation No. 46 of 2023 (“Regulation 46/2023”).[1] However, following the introduction of this new framework, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology subsequently decided to introduce a set of technical guidelines that specifically address PPKSP (“PPKSP Guidelines”) through the issuance of Decree No. 49/M/2023 (“Decree 49/2023”), which has been in force since 24 November 2023.[2]
