Minister of PPPA Sets Uniform Service Standards for Female Worker Protection Houses Within the Workplace

The Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 1 of 2023 on the Amendment (“Amendment”) to Regulation of the Minister No. 1 of 2020 on the Provision of Female Worker Protection Houses Within the Workplace (“Regulation 1/2020”) as a part of efforts aimed at protecting female workers from various problems within the workplace that encompass employment, discrimination, violence and violations of human rights.[1] In essence, the Amendment includes elaborations of the service standards that should be applied to female worker protection houses (Rumah Perlindungan Pekerja Perempuan – “RP3”) and reaffirms the realization of uniformity as regards RP3 service management.[2]
