Six KKNI for Shrimp Processing Field Introduced

The Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 26 of 2023 on the Implementation of the Indonesian Qualifications Framework (Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia – “KKNI”) Within the Shrimp Processing Sector (“Regulation 26/2023”), which has been in force since 14 July 2023.

Generally speaking, the new KKNI is aiming to facilitate various types of implementation, adjustments and integration throughout the fields of education, training and work experience in order to provide recognition of work competencies across various work sectors.[1] The KKNI has been classified into nine qualification levels, each of which has corresponding competency units.[2] Pursuant to Regulation 26/2023, the KKNI for the shrimp processing field has been classified into six qualification levels for each job position, as summarized in the following table:[3]
