Technical Guidelines for Determinations of Free Space Around Overhead Line Cables and Bridges Over Bodies of Water Issued: Developments Required to Commence 12 - 24 Months After the Issuance of Recommendations

The Director-General of Sea Transportation (“Director-General”) has issued a set of technical guidelines (“Guidelines”) for determinations of free space (clearance) around overhead line cables (kabel saluran udara) and bridges over bodies of water (collectively referred to as “Free Space Determinations”) as a part of Decree No. KP-DJPL 201 of 2023 (“Decree 201/2023”), which has been in force since 13 March 2023. Decree 201/2023 is being aimed at improving the uniformity and quality of recommendations for said Free Space Determinations.[1]
