DPR Finally Passes Bill on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector

On 15 December 2022, Indonesia's House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat – “DPR”) and the government officially passed the Draft Bill on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (“Bill”).[1] The final version of the Bill encompasses 341 articles spanning 27 chapters that relate to the policies and practices of the financial sector. Prior to this final version of the bill, the DPR had issued the September Version of the Draft Bill (“September Draft Bill”), which was discussed in a previous edition of Indonesian Legal Brief (ILB) titled: Draft Bill on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector.[2]
