Govt. Updates Provisions on the Organization of Electronic Certification

As a follow-up to the mandate originally set out under Regulation of the Government No. 71 of 2019 on the Organization of Electronic Systems and Transactions (“Regulation 71/2019”), the Minister of Communication and Information Technology (“Minister”) recently issued Regulation No. 11 of 2022 on Management Procedures for the Organization of Electronic Certification (“Regulation 11/2022”).[1] The issuance of Regulation 11/2022 simultaneously repeals and replaces Regulation of the Minister No. 11 of 2018 (“Regulation 11/2018”), which was the previous legal framework to address the organization of electronic certification and which is now considered obsolete as a result of recent developments.[2]
