- The implementation of Level-1 Enforced Community Activity Restrictions (Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat – "PPKM") across Java and Bali has once again been reextended through the issuance of Directive of the Minister of Home Affairs ("Minister") No. 41 of 2022 ("Directive 41/2022") and will remain in force from 30 August 2022 - 5 September 2022.
- Broadly speaking, Directive 41/2022 sets identical provisions to those that previously featured under Directive of the Minister No. 40 of 2022 ("Directive 40/2022") in terms of the activity restrictions that now apply across areas categorized as under Level-1 PPKM, as elaborated upon in the following edition of Daily Updates: “Level-1 PPKM Across Java and Bali to Remain in Force until 29 August 2022”.
- However, Directive 41/2022 has now added Sentani Airport, Papua as one of the available entry points for Indonesian international travelers that wish to reenter Indonesia.
- Ultimately, Directive 41/2022 reaffirms that the implementation of learning in educational establishments may be carried out through limited face-to-face learning and/or distance learning based on Circular of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology No. 7 of 2022 on Discretion Regarding the Implementation of Joint-Decrees of Four Ministers on Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning During the Corona Virus Disease 2019 Pandemic.
