Level-1 PPKM Across Java and Bali to Remain in Force until 29 August 2022

The Minister of Home Affairs ("Minister") has decided to re-extend the implementation of Enforced Community Activity Restrictions (Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat – "PPKM") across Java and Bali through the issuance of Directive No. 40 of 2022 ("Directive 40/2022"), which will be enforced between 16 August and 29 August 2022.
Directive 40/2022 sets identical provisions to those that previously featured under Directive of the Minister No. 38 of 2022 ("Directive 38/2022") in terms of the activity restrictions that now apply across areas categorized as under Level-1 PPKM. These restrictions are summarized in the following edition of Daily Updates: “Level-1 PPKM Across Java - Bali Extended Until 15 August 2022”.
Furthermore, as with Directive 38/2022, Directive 40/2022 reaffirms that the implementation of learning in educational establishments may be carried out through limited face-to-face learning and/or distance learning based on Circular of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology No. 7 of 2022 on Discretion Regarding the Implementation of Joint-Decrees of Four Ministers on Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning During the Corona Virus Disease 2019.
