As background information, licensing activities for business actors operating within the nuclear sector were originally addressed under Regulation of the Government No. 5 of 2021 on the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing (“Regulation 5/2021”).[1] Now, in order to ensure the availability of licensing services to the general public, the Head of the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (Badan Pengawas Tenaga Nuklir – “BAPETEN”) has issued Regulation No. 1 of 2022 on the Management of Business Licensing Within the Nuclear Sector (“Regulation 1/2022”).[2] Through the issuance of Regulation 1/2022, Regulation of BAPETEN No. 6 of 2018 on Requirements and Procedures for Electronically Integrated Business Licensing Within the Nuclear Sector has now been repealed and replaced (“Regulation 6/2018”).[3]
