- Requires employers of foreign workers (Tenaga Kerja Asing – “TKA”) to apply for the authorization of Plans for the Utilization of Foreign Workers (Rencana Pengunaan Tenaga Kerja Asing – “RPTKA”) through the TKA Online platform. The application process breaks down as follows: 1) Registration of TKA employer and creation of a TKA Online account; 2) Filling out of application data and uploading of required documents; 3) Assessment of the eligibility of the RPTKA authorization application; 4) Filling out of application data of the TKA candidate and uploading of required TKA-candidate documents; 5) Issuance of a notification which addresses the payment of Compensation Funds for the Recruitment of TKA (Dana Kompensasi Penggunaan TKA – “DKPTKA”); and 6) Issuance of RPTKA authorization.
- The application data and the required documents which must be submitted for the authorization of RPTKA differ for each RPTKA type (i.e. RPTKA for Temporary Work, RPTKA for Work of More Than Six Months, RPTKA for Work Within Special Economic Zones and RPTKA for Non-DKPTKA).
- Requires employers of TKA to pay DKPTKA amounting to US$ 100 per position, per person, per month of TKA employment. It should be noted that said DKPTKA is only payable in the following circumstances: 1) Authorization of new RPTKA; 2) Authorization of RPTKA extensions for TKA who work within more than one province; and 3) Authorization of RPTKA for Special Economic Zones.
