- The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, has stated that the general public and all stakeholders may provide input or suggestions aimed at the improvement of Draft Regulations of the Government (Rancangan Peraturan Pemerintah – “RPP”) or Draft Regulations of the President (Rancangan Peraturan Presiden – “R Perpres”) as implementing regulations to the recently passed Job Creation Law.
- Currently, a total of nine RPP are available to be downloaded out of a total of 44 implementing regulations that are ultimately to be introduced concerning the Job Creation Law. This total comprises 40 RPP and four R Perpres. The process of finalizing the drafts of these 44 regulations is currently being implemented and coordinated by 19 ministries/institutions in collaboration with a further 30 other ministries/agencies.
- Mr. Hartarto has affirmed that the Job Creation Law will hopefully be able to support efforts to revive the national economy against the background of the ongoing Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In addition, the Job Creation Law is also being aimed at boosting Indonesia’s longer-term economic competitiveness amid ever stiffer global competition. (ANT)
