Employers Required to Pay into Compensation Fund for Hired Foreign Workers

The Minister of Manpower (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 20 of 2019 on the Administration of Non-Tax State Revenue Originating from the Compensation Fund for the Recruitment of Foreign Workers (“Regulation 20/2019”), which sets out updated provisions relating to the state compensation fund that must be paid into by any employers when they recruit any foreign workers.[1] Previously, this matter was addressed under the following regulations, which have now been repealed and replaced:
