Business/Activity Plans Subject to Mandatory AMDAL Readjusted

In an effort to improve the business climate, the Minister of Environment and Forestry (“Minister”) recently issued Regulation No. P.38/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/7/2019 on Types of Business and/or Activity Plans Which Are Obliged to Possess Environmental Impact Analyses (“Regulation 38/2019”).[1]

In essence, Regulation 38/2019 reclassifies the types of businesses and/or activities for which the securing of an Environmental Impact Analysis (Analisis Dampak Mengenai Lingkungan – “AMDAL”) is mandatory and specifically addresses the following areas:
