Supreme Court Addresses Procedures for and the Authority of PTUN to Preside over Disputes Involving Allegations of Unlawful Acts Committed by Government Institutions and/or Officials

Pursuant to Law No. 30 of 2014 on Government Administration ("Law 30/2014”), the State Administrative Court (Pengadilan Tata Usaha Negara – “PTUN”) is authorized to resolve any cases which may arise as a result of any allegations of unlawful activity which are which are directed against government institutions and/or officials. This is because any unlawful acts which are committed by said parties are also categorized as state administrative acts and therefore fall under the authority of the PTUN.[1]
