Govt. Tightens Provisions on Instruction Manuals and After-Sales Service Warranties for Electronic and Telematics Products

In a bid to enhance consumer protection and simplify licensing procedures in relation to electronic and telematics products (“Products”), the Minister of Trade (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 38 of 2019 on Provisions on Instruction Manuals and After-Sales Service Warranties for Electronic and Telematics Products (“Regulation 38/2019”).[1]

These matters were previously addressed under Regulation of the Minister No. 19/M-DAG/PER/5/2009 on the Registration of Instruction Manuals and After-Sales Warranty Cards in the Indonesian Language for Electronic and Telematics Products (“Previous Regulation”).[2]
