In a bid to optimize the contributions which are made to the Indonesian economy from foreign-exchange export proceeds deriving from exports of natural resources (Devisa Hasil Ekspor dari Barang Ekspor Sumber Daya Alam – “DHE-SDA”), Bank Indonesia (“BI”) has issued Regulation No. 21/3/PBI/2019 on the Recovery of Foreign-Exchange Export Proceeds Deriving from the Utilization, Management and/or Processing of Natural Resources (“Regulation 3/2019”).[1]
