New Procedures to Employ Foreign Workers

The Minister of Employment (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 16 of 2015 on Procedures to Employ Foreign Workers (“2015 Regulation”).

The 2015 Regulation sets out the guideline to recruit foreign workers in Indonesia,[1] covering:

a.	Eligibility criteria; and
b.	Procedures to secure, extend and amend the following documents:
	i.	Approval for Foreign Worker Recruitment Plan (Rencana Penggunaan Tenaga Kerja Asing – “RPTKA”); and
	ii.	Foreign Worker Recruitment Permit (Izin Memperkerjakan Tenaga Kerja Asing – “IMTA”).
