Restraints on Gratification at the Ministry of Finance

The Minister of Finance (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 83/PMK.01/2015 on Restraints on Gratitude Payments at the Ministry of Finance (“2015 Regulation”).The stated aim of the 2015 Regulation is to prevent and eradicate corruption at the Ministry of Finance.

To realize this objective, the 2015 Regulation requires civil servants (“Officers”) at the Ministry to report gratitude payments, presents, and gifts that they receive from other parties. More specifically, the 2015 Regulation sets out provisions on the following matters:
