New Provisions on Public Accountants

The Government recently issued Government Regulation No. 20 of 2015 on Public Accountant Practices (“2015 Regulation”) aimed at improving the service quality of public accountants.

This objective is to be realized by mandating the public accountants association (“Accountants Association”) to regulate standard competence and professional development of public accountants. To this end, the 2015 Regulation sets out standards for the Accountants Association to organize the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam, professional development programs, and professional standards for public accountants.
