Processing Time of Cassation Petitions and Case Review Application Shortened

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (“Chief Justice”) has issued Decree No. 214/KMA/SK/XII/2014 on Time Period for Handling Cases at the Supreme Court (“2014 Decree”).

The 2014 Decree aims to accelerate the time for processing cassation (kasasi) petitions and case review (peninjauan kembali) applications at the Supreme Court. This will be achieved by setting the maximum time period for handling cases for each processing stages at the Supreme Court. Additionally, the Chief Justice also instructs specific cases to be settled faster than other cases.
