Industrial Zone Business Permits and Permit Expansion

The Minister of Industry (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 05/M-IND/PER/2/2014 on Procedures for Granting Industrial Zone Business Permits and Industrial Zone Expansion Permits (“2014 Regulation”).

The 2014 Regulation redefines the procedures for industrial zone developers to secure a principle license, industrial zone business permit, as well as a permit to expand an existing industrial zone from the Minister, governor, or regent/mayor.

An industrial zone is a designated area for the centralization of industrial activities which is developed and managed by a company in the form of state or regional owned enterprise, cooperative, or private company (collectively the “Developer”).[1]
