New Procedures for Securing Construction Service Permit in Jakarta

The Governor of the Jakarta Special Capital Region (“Governor”) has issued Regulation No.68 of 2014 on Guidelines for Granting Construction Service Permits (“2014 Regulation”)

The 2014 Regulation redefines the procedures for construction service providers to obtain a Construction Service Permit (Ijin Usaha Jasa Konstruksi – “IUJK”) from the Governor or Mayors in the Jakarta province. Additionally, the 2014 Regulation sets out the procedures for construction service providers intending to extend or amend their IUJK, as well as closing their business and re-register their Construction Service Business Entity Certificate (Sertifikat Badan Usaha Jasa Konstruksi – “SBU”).[1]
