Product Certification Agencies and Testing Laboratories for Toys

The Minister of Industry (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 52/M-IND/PER/10/2013 on the Appointment of Product Certification Agencies and Testing Laboratories for the purpose of Implementation and Oversight of Mandatory Indonesian National Standards for Toys (“Regulation 52”).

Regulation 52 appoints eight (8) Product Certification Agencies (Lembaga Sertifikasi Produk – “LSPro”) and the seven (7) Testing Laboratories (Laboratorium Penguji) to ensure compliance with the prescribed standards by producers and importers of toys.[1] These institutions will assess and certify toys according to the requirements under the Indonesian National Standards (SNI) on Toys.
