Expansion of Employment Opportunities Finally Regulated

Government Regulation No. 33 of 2013 on Expansion of Employment Opportunities (“Regulation”) was recently issued for the purpose of reducing the number of unemployed in Indonesia. This is to be achieved by the Regulation providing guidelines for polices to be drafted by the Government and Regional Governments  to create new jobs and expand existing job opportunities.

The Regulation implements Article 41 (4) of Law No. 13 of 2003 on Labor that mandates the issuance of a Government Regulation for the expansion of employment opportunities.
