Health Minister Issues a Regulation on Cigarette Pictorial Health Warnings

Minister of Health has issued Regulation No. 28 of 2013 on Affixing Health Warnings and Information on Tobacco Product Packaging (“Regulation”). The Regulation implements Government Regulation No. 109 of 2012 on Control of Addictive Substances in the Form of Tobacco Products.[1]

Prior to the Regulation, health information on tobacco products was regulated under Minister of Health and Social Welfare Decree No. 1755/Menkes-Kesos/SK/XII/2000 on Health Written Warnings on Cigarette Labels (“2000 Decree”).
