Company Law - Promulgated with the Allocation of Law Number

The Draft Company Law recently passed by the House of Representatives (DPR) has been allocated a number and as such has effectively been promulgated as of 16 August 2007.

Prior to the Law being allocated No. 40 of 2007 some typographical errors were corrected and some words were changed. The legitimacy of this process has been discussed previously (see ILB No. 576 09/05/2007), particularly as it relates to whether the changes are substantive or administrative. In this sense administrative is in fact cosmetic as it is predominantly spelling mistakes that are corrected.
