Halal Pre-Shipment Checks for Imports Begin 17 October 2026: Importers Must Obtain LPPH Before Products Enter Indonesia

The Head of the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal — “BPJPH”) has issued Decree No. 328 of 2026 on the Standard Operating Procedure for Halal Conformity Verification Services for Foreign Halal Products Entering Indonesia (“Decree 328/2026”).

Halal Product Assurance consists of administrative verification and limited physical conformity inspection. These activities are carried out by state-owned and/or private Inspection Institutions appointed by BPJPH.[1] The standard operating procedures under Decree 328/2026 serve as a reference for BPJPH, Importers, and Inspection Institutions in providing such services.[2]
