For nearly 2 decades, the civil societies have been pushing for the enactment of new agrarian reform law. This effort finally borne fruit when the House of Representatives passed the Draft Bill on Agrarian Reform (the "Draft Bill") on the 22 September 2026.[1] The draft which received by the Hukumonline’s team dated 19 September 2026 consists of 14 chapters and 52 articles and introduces a number of significant reforms to Indonesia's agrarian reform framework.
