The year 2025 has been a period marked by significant dynamics in terms of Indonesia’s legal and regulatory landscape, which has been developing apace alongside an ongoing political transition and a series of policy reforms that are having a substantial impact on both the public and private sectors. This year also marks the first year of President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership, which has resulted in a number of shifts in direction and revisions to the formulation and implementation of national Laws and Regulations. In this regard, the Indonesian Government issued a number of Regulations throughout 2025 that are affecting the country’s business climate, corporate governance and licensing mechanisms across various sectors. More specifically, Hukumonline has recorded and compiled 2,617 regulatory frameworks that were issued during 2025.
