Overview
In September 2025, Indonesia's House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat – “DPR”), as well as the country’s Regional Representative Council (Dewan Perwakilan Daerah/DPD) and the Ministry of Law, agreed on a Second Amendment to the 2025 Priority National Legislation Program (Program Legislasi Nasional – “Prolegnas”), thereby finalizing the overall priority list for 2026. In the wake of this revision, the number of bills set out under the 2025 Priority Prolegnas has now been increased to 52. Meanwhile, the larger 2025 - 2029 Prolegnas has been expanded to 198 bills, with 67 designated as 2026 priorities.[1] Prior to the introduction of this Amendment, the 2025 Priority Prolegnas featured only 41 bills, while the 2025 - 2029 list comprised 176 bills.[2]
