Reminder: Several Mandatory SNIs Are Now Approaching Full Enforcement

Between March and April 2025, the Minister of Industry (“Minister”) introduced a series of regulatory frameworks that require mandatory compliance by specific products with the Indonesian National Standard (Standar Nasional Indonesia – “SNI”). These frameworks include:

1. Regulation of the Minister No. 14 of 2025 on the Mandatory Implementation of the Indonesian National Standard for Glazed Ceramic Tableware and Drinkware (“Regulation 14/2025”);
2. Regulation of the Minister No. 15 of 2025 on the Mandatory Implementation of the Indonesian National Standard for Safety Glass for Motor Vehicles (“Regulation 15/2025”); and
3. Regulation of the Minister No. 17 of 2025 on the Mandatory Implementation of the Indonesian National Standard for Steel Wire Ropes and Steel Wire Ropes for Oil and Gas (“Regulation 17/2025”).
