Overseas Placements Made Easier: KUR Loans of Rp. 100 Million with Three-Year Tenures Introduced for Indonesian Migrant Workers

The Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (“Minister”)/Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (Badan Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia – “BP2MI”) recently established a new set of technical guidelines for the disbursement of Community Business Credit (Kredit Usaha Rakyat – “KUR”) for placements of Indonesian Migrant Workers (Pekerja Migran Indonesia – “PMI”) through the issuance of Regulation No. 18 of 2025 (“Regulation 18/2025”), which has been in force since 29 August 2025.[1]
