Risks Insured, Farming Secured: Farmers May Now Receive Compensation for Crop Losses Through Rice Farming Insurance

In 2023, the Minister of Agriculture (“Minister”) issued Regulation No. 30 of 2023 on Facilitation of Agricultural Insurance (“Regulation 30/2023”), which, as its title suggests, sets out provisions regarding the agricultural insurance types and facilities. In order to implement the various mandates under Regulation 30/2023, the Minister has now decided to issue Decree No. 320/KPTS/SR.210/B/07/2025 on Guidelines for the Implementation of Rice Farming Insurance (Asuransi Usaha Tani Padi – “AUTP”) (“Decree 320/2025”), which has been in force since 21 July 2025.[1]
