STPW Delayed? OSS Submission Receipts May Now Serve as Temporary Proof of Franchise Business Activities

In order to ensure that a set of guidelines is available for use by regional governments during the verification and issuance process for Franchise Registration Certificates (Surat Tanda Pendaftaran Waralaba - “STPW”), as well as to facilitate the overall ease of doing business for franchisors and franchisees alike, the Minister of Trade (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 25 of 2025 on Procedures for the Issuance of STPW by Regional Governments (“Regulation 25/2025”), which is set to come into force on 30 July 2025.[1]
