KDI Price Calculations Get a Makeover: New Formula Components for WIUP Holders

In 2023, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (“Minister”) introduced Decree No. 23.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2023 (“Decree 23/2023”) on the Formula for the Calculation of Compensation Prices for Information Data on Mining Business License Areas (Wilayah Izin Usaha Pertambangan – “WIUP”) and Special Mining Business License Areas (Wilayah Izin Usaha Pertambangan Khusus – “WIUPK”). As its title suggests, this framework stipulated the applicable formula for information data compensation (Kompensasi Data Informasi – “KDI”) calculations, along with relevant applicable components, aspects and coefficients.
