Four Customs-and-Excise Offices Set to Implement Pilot Phase of Rush Handling Validation System Between September and October 2024

  • In an effort to improve the level of services for releases of imported goods via the immediate services ("Rush Handling") mechanism, the Director-General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance ("Director-General") has now set out the applicable mechanism for the trial (piloting) phase of a new system that will validate the fulfillment of prohibition and restriction requirements for imported goods that are released via the Rush Handling mechanism ("Validation System") through the issuance of Decree No. KEP-167/BC/2024 ("Decree 167/2024"), which has been in force since 12 September 2024.
