Cosmetics Labeling Set for a Makeover: New Regulation to Differentiate Between Mandatory Information on Regular and Refillable Products

On 26 July 2024, the government introduced Regulation of the Government No. 28 of 2024 on the Implementing Regulation (“Regulation 28/2024”) to Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health (“Law 17/2023”). Among the provisions set out therein, this framework mandates that the marking (penandaan), promotion and advertising of pharmaceutical products will be further regulated by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan – “BPOM”).[1] It should also be noted that some of the provisions that feature under Regulation 28/2024 were briefly summarized in the following edition of Indonesian Legal Brief (“ILB”): “Implementing Regulation to Health Law Finally Comes into Force!
