Domestic Demand for Marine Sedimentation Materials in the Form of Sea Sand for 2024 Stipulated

In order to support the determination of material requirements for marine sedimentation results, as mandated under Regulation of the Government No. 26 of 2023 on the Management of Marine Sedimentation Results, the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries has issued Decree No. 49 of 2024 on Domestic Demand for Marine Sedimentation Materials in the Form of Sea Sand for 2024, which has been in force since 15 July 2024.
This Decree stipulates domestic demand for marine sedimentation materials in the form of sea sand for the year 2024. Sea sand demand is primarily associated with three core activities, specifically reclamation, construction of government infrastructure and construction of facilities by business entities.
The Appendix to this Decree states that total domestic demand for sea sand primarily relates to reclamation activities, which has a current level of demand amounting to 26,191,003 m³ in volume annually.
