- PT Bursa Efek Indonesia ("BEI") and PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia ("KSEI") have issued Joint Decree No. KEP-00094/BEI/06-2024, KEP-0030/DIR/KSEI/0624 on Fee Exemptions for Securities Exchange Members for Mutual Fund Participation Unit Trading in the Form of Collective Investments Through Which Participation Units Are Traded Through the Exchange, which has been in force since 1 July 2024.
- BEI and KSEI are offering incentives to stock exchange members who are also clearing members in relation to the buying and selling of mutual fund units that are traded through the exchange. These incentives include the following exemptions: 1) Transaction fees for exchange members who are clearing members when buying or selling mutual fund units; and 2) Transaction fees for participating dealers when buying or selling underlying stocks to fulfill their obligation to regularly offer buy or sell requests for mutual funds.
- The exempted transaction fees break down as follows: 1) Exchange transaction fees of 0.018%; 2) Clearing and settlement guarantee fees of 0.009%; and 3) Exchange transaction settlement fees of 0.003%. Incentives are calculated as follows: 1) For mutual funds traded through the secondary market, an incentive equal to the transaction fee for buying or selling mutual fund units will be granted to clearing members; and 2) For mutual funds with underlying stocks that are traded through the secondary market, an additional incentive equal to the transaction fee will be granted to participating dealers.
- Incentives are calculated on the final trading day of each month and will result in a reduction in transaction fee invoices for the period in question. These incentives only apply to transactions that are conducted through the regular market and the cash market.
